SD Card Pro X
thingiverse
I needed a SD Card Holder that was easy to find and hold enough cards to keep going during a shoot. I searched online and downloaded so many of these that my eyes felt strained. Then I made prints and discovered even more problems! The issues I encountered were numerous, including fine threads that prevented the holder from opening properly, a hand grip that tore at my skin and left me bleeding, and several other design flaws. It seemed as though no thought had been given to what works in the field - so I designed my own SD Card Holder tailored to my specifications. Here's a list of features you can compare: • One-Turn Lock • Big Enough For Gloves • Small Enough To Fit In Camera Bag • No Jam Threads • Lanyard Hole • Easy Grip • Guided SD Card Slots • No Roll • Finished Size - 1.75h x 2.25w x 2.25d 09-04-2018 I've added another top or cap to the mix, making it easy to determine which end is up. Now you can see and feel it even with gloves on. Yes, I do wear gloves in the fall in Alaska - it's essential for protecting my hands from the cold. As always, high-resolution STL files are available for download, and I've used Print Studio to ensure accuracy and eliminate any errors. I'm happy to make upgrades - just let me know what you need! A shout-out to jamesgna for suggesting this idea! (Honestly, it never occurred to me.)
