SD Card Holder
thingiverse
Since I use several SD cards to shuttle files to the printer, I designed a "holster" for them. One of the pictures shows the iterations it took to get to the final version. Just like an SD card snaps into its slot, this holster also has a snap-in feature so that they stay put securely in place. As you can see, it's designed to fit snugly at the lower right corner of a Makerbot 2X. One of the other pictures is a screenshot of the simplify3D slicing software interface, which shows where I placed two towers of support for each of the two slots. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3 MM Infill: 20% Post-Printing To mount it, you'll probably need to get a longer screw like a 6 MM x 12 MM socket head cap screw from a local hardware/home improvement store. The Makerbot original screws are only 8 MM long, so you'll want to match the hex socket size to the original one.
