SD Card extension mount for 2020 extrusion
thingiverse
I got fed up with having to rummage around in my SBase with tweezers every time I needed to access the Micro SD card to edit files, so I decided to invest in a Micro SD to SD extension/adapter. Since there are also micro to micro adapters available, I opted for one that's easier to grab onto, making it simpler to handle. However, I still had to find a way to secure this new adapter without relying on sticky tape. At first, I thought about designing some kind of strap-down system for the original case it comes in, but instead, I came up with a better idea - I decided to replace the case altogether. The good news is that the original case can be easily disassembled without any screws, tabs, or complicated mechanisms; all you need is a bit of pressure. To mount this new adapter, I chose to use 4 M2 screws that are between 5 and 7 millimeters long, along with 2 M4 screws that are 10 millimeters long. To ensure everything stays securely in place, I also included some t-nuts for added stability when attaching it to the 2020 extrusion.
