SD Card Dispenser

SD Card Dispenser

thingiverse

Our media center distributes a large quantity of SD cards to students. To keep these cards organized and easily accessible, while also maintaining a consistent usage cycle, I designed this wall-mountable dispenser. Returned cards are inserted at the top, and a single new card can be retrieved from the bottom. The slot at the bottom is tapered for easy removal by hand. Three different designs have been uploaded: two-slot, three-slot, and four-slot. 2018-02-04 Update! We wanted to offer the option of removing all SD cards simultaneously, so I created a new version with a removable inner channel. Our old 3x design has been retired in favor of printing three single units in different colors. This allows us to color-code by SD card usage and capacity. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: You will need to print supports for the slot at the bottom and mounting holes. A raft is not necessary. I printed mine at 0.2mm with 20% infill, but you can adjust these settings as needed to suit your printer's capabilities. The base and walls are 2mm thick. Post-Printing The mounting holes are 3mm in diameter, which should be large enough for pushpins on a bulletin board, but feel free to drill them out or mount them however works best for you.
