A 3DS Max 2012 animated depiction of a stylized Scythian pectoral is available for viewing. The animation includes post-processing effects. The Scythians, an early master of mounted warfare, possibly raided Zhou China in the 8th century BC before expanding westwards and overthrowing the Cimmerians' rule on the Pontic Steppe. At their peak, they controlled the entire steppe region, spanning from the Carpathian Mountains in the west to central China (Ordos culture) and southern Siberia (Tagar culture), forming what is considered the first Central Asian nomadic empire.
