Scythe
thingiverse
I needed a replacement scythe for my son's costume and K987's design caught my eye. I enlarged it, cut it into shape and added connectors to fit perfectly together - you might need to smooth out the connectors slightly with some sandpaper. It's designed specifically to attach to a wooden handle like a broom or mop stick. Be prepared to make some adjustments to fit your own measurements. Once printed, just sand down the connectors, click them into place and glue them together. Then fill in any gaps with filler, sand it again, and you're ready for paint. I personally use XTC-3D to smooth out the surface before painting or sanding. Alternatively, you can print the whole thing in silver if you don't mind a few small gaps. I'll post a photo of what it looks like before I start working on it - so far, I'm really happy with how it's turning out. The files are numbered from handle to tip: #1 is the piece that attaches to the handle, followed by #2 and then #3, finishing off with #4 at the very end. Right now, my posted picture shows just #2 through #4 connected - I'll try to get more online soon. When all the pieces are put together, it measures roughly 2 feet long (that's about 62 centimeters). I printed this on my FlashForge Creator Pro.
With this file you will be able to print Scythe with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Scythe.
