SCX6 JLU Panhard Brace Support
thingiverse
The stock steering on the Axial SXC6 is lacking. One of several issues is the Panhard link setup. This brace will help remove some of the flex in the system. This mounts between the top axel link and the panhard link on the front right side of the vehicle. See pictures. You will need to remove the front right tire and bottom shock bolt to gain access to this area. This brace adds 5mm of thickness, therefore 2 new panhead m3x 30mm bolts are needed Needed for install: 2 x 30mm M3 Panhead Bolts Instructions: 1. Screw the brace first to the axel link and loosely tighten 2. Screw the top of the brace to the Panhard link and secure 3. Secure the axle link bolt installed in step 1 4. Do not over tighten, just snug firmly How to print: Do not bother with PLA. It's too brittle. You need some flex here. PETG is what I used. I would think ABS would work well too. Print in the orientation downloaded. 7 walls (yep, not 6...not 8) 6 top and bottom layers 20% Gyroid Infill (don't print this solid, strength is in the wall and layers) Filter gaps between walls = "Everywhere" Zig Zag top/bottom pattern for strength There is another panhard link posted by another creator (zanthrax) that looks pretty great and uses the stock bolts. Do a search for it and try that one out if you don't have the m3x30mm hardware handy.
