SCX24 Rear Shock Flex Mount

SCX24 Rear Shock Flex Mount

Wanted more flex out of my SCX24 Bronco without messing with the ride height, so I came up with these. My design was HEAVILY influenced by the following design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4750007), but I wanted to mount the shock under the frame rail rather than on top. The numbers are dimensions for the shock in comparison to the front mounting hole. For the stock shocks I ran the 4x6 (4mm lower and 6mm forward), which gained me a good bit of flex. Only downside was that in reverse, the tires would sometimes grab the bumper. I made the 4x7.25 mount after switching to a set of 32mm internal shocks. The springs in those were too stiff for the 4x6 (which increased my ride height) so I moved them even further forward and that corrected my issue. EDIT: Added a 3rd option, 4x6.5. I noticed when crawling (with my 32mm internal shocks) that running the 7.25 was causing the rear end to squat. The 6.5 still allows for a TINY bit of rake, which is exactly what I was after.
