SCX24 Monster Truck

SCX24 Monster Truck

My version of 1:24 scale monster truck. The frame is designed for conversion from Axial SCX24 Deadbolt/Betty chassis. There’s a lot of space inside the truck to use stock electronic or some bigger brushless motor and bigger battery. I used Surpass 2030 7200KV powered by 3S battery which is quite overpower but fun :) For body I used Monster Jam RC Grave Digger 1:24 attached to the frame by magnets. For that I designed two roof variants. First is classic and second with holes for 5 pieces of cicrcle 1mm high and 8mm diameter magnets. For assembly I used below set of 1,4mm diameter screws of different lengths but it’s up to you what you’ll use: Roof: 2x11,5 mm, 2x9,5 mm Battery tray: 8x9,5 mm Bumper: 4x7,5 mm Rear bumper: 4x7,5 mm Rear panel: 2x7,5 mm, 2x11,5 mm Bottom gearbox plate: 4x11,5 mm, 4x7,5 mm (Lenght of screws is including the screw head) For tires I used AMT Monster Truck Tires 1:25. You’ll find them on eBay. I designed not-beadlock rims for these tires which fits perfectly. I ride them without glue but maybe later I’ll use some. Inside every wheel are for decoration purposes 8x 1,6mm screws of 4mm length (same are used in 1.0” rc4wd beadlock wheels). This increase coolness factor about 20-30% :) For nuts tightening I'm using tool from RC4WD - 4.0mm Metric Hex T-Wrench Tool: https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-40mm-Metric-Hex-T-Wrench-Tool_p_5535.html If you want to use same brusless motor configuration check also my motor mount.
