SCX24 Light Buckets
thingiverse
These are custom light buckets for the 3mm LEDs that come with the SCX24. I wanted to add lights back onto my truck after installing my new bumper. They work seamlessly with both the Deadbolt and Jeep bodies. TO INSTALL Please note that the sticker and body may be damaged when installing. Unfortunately, I accidentally tore through the corner of the body and a part of the sticker where the lights are located. You'll need: - Glue - A thin, clear piece of plastic - (Optional) Silver paint or a silver marker - A drill or body reamer You can color the inside of the bucket silver. I colored mine with a silver Sharpie. I designed a small square indentation in the front of the bucket. You can cut a small square of clear plastic and glue it there to create the lens. Make holes in the body. I used the sticker as a reference point to drill the holes (since I don't have a body reamer). If using a drill, be extremely cautious because there's minimal material around the lights. I recommend starting with a small drill bit and gradually increasing its size until the hole is large enough. Line up the bucket with the drilled hole and glue it on. Glue the LEDs in the back of the buckets.
