**SCX24 Gladiator Tonneau Cover** The rack that comes on the bed of the SCX24 Gladiator wasn't my thing so I designed this faux folding tonneau cover in Fusion 360. I intended it to mimic the clean look of the BAKFlip MX4 tonneau on my 1:1 Titan. The first version I did was a bit shallow for screw mounting from below so I did a V2 with more substance below to screw into. I also left some recesses so you can glue in some 1/8 x 1/2 magnets if you would like to mount it that way. I opted for using screws from below. You could also use foam double-stick tape if you want. **Hardware Needed** (Qty 4) M1.4 x 5mm Screws You should be able to reuse the screws that were holding the rack on. **Tools Needed:** .05" or 1.3mm Hex Driver 3/64" Drill Bit 5/64" Drill Bit Pin Vise or equivalent Needle Nose Pliers **Installation using screws from below:** 1. Using a 3/64 bit set to 4mm depth in a pin vise, ream out the printed screw holes. You can also use tape like a flag to indicate 4mm depth on your bit if your pin vise won't let you insert the bit that far in. We want to avoid drilling through to the other side. (Fig. 1) 2. Using an M1.4 Screw, carefully screw into each hole to "tap" the holes. Be sure not to screw in deeper than 4mm so you don't bubble or break through to the other side. 3. We need to mark the location to drill 5/64" holes in the bed of the body. I found that using a sacrificial screw that I cut the head off of works well to mark the body. Just screw it in with some pliers and put the tonneau cover on and apply pressure to make a mark in the lexan body. Repeat this for all four holes and then use the marks to drill the holes in the bed. If you don't have an extra screw you can cut, you can use a regular screw. Just make sure to press down enough to leave a mark. (Fig. 2) 4. Now we just need to assemble. Be careful not to over torque the screws, PLA is super soft as is the Lexan body.
