This protective shield sits snugly between the motor and the carbon fiber plate, shielding the wires that supply power to the ESCs mounted at the bottom from damage. A strategically placed hole in the design allows trapped air to escape from beneath, preventing any pressure build-up. Please note that this guard fits extremely tightly around most motors, so double-check its fit during assembly; I'm unsure whether it will accommodate other motor sizes.
