I've designed axial SCX10 2 Cherokee inner wheel wells to keep mud from entering the bodyshell. I created them using PLA, but a flexible material would be better, especially if you could switch materials and print the back support out of PLA or ABS while using a flexible material for the rest. The Hyrax 1.9 tires have enough clearance at full compression. Clearly, this doesn't stop everything when going through muddy water, but it cuts down probably 80% from getting on to your electrics etc. Drier mud doesn't get past them. I haven't tried it with real sticky clay so don't know whether it would bind up in there. They certainly cut down the cleanup operation after a run, taking just 5 minutes instead of about an hour. Tested and they didn't break, with no real stress on them. Maybe a branch getting caught up in there might break them, if so I'd try PETG or ABS. No supports were needed for printing. The fronts use existing bolts and clip to the undertray, while the rears use one existing bolt and a new M3 bolt and locknut into an existing hole in the rail. UPDATE 31/12: Redesigned some parts, added strengthening to parts that broke under extreme testing and redesigned to give better cover. New pictures for the final versions were posted. I also added top supports which go over the body posts. Just drill a 2.5mm hole through into the top of the fender and screw an M3 caphead in. They also give the posts some support.
