Sculpture
thingiverse
A 3D scan of a sculpture was transformed into an STL file using freeware and a digital camera, with mesh decimation performed in Blender. The resulting "Decimated" file was then processed in Netfabb for alignment, bottom removal, and error repair to create a print-ready "Repaired" version. A gcode file prepared for a RAMPS 1.4 printer can be found in the provided link, along with pictures of the printed object from April 30, 2013.
