Sculpture of a Woman Symbolizing Inspiration, Possibly a Muse of Dance. In Greek mythology, the muse Terpsichore was one of nine goddesses who embodied the art of dance and chorus. Known as "delight in dancing," she's often depicted sitting down, holding a lyre and providing musical accompaniment to ballerinas' choirs. Her name originates from Greek words for delight and dance. She also mothered sirens like Parthenope. This sculpture is part of Scan The World, an initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a digital archive of 3D printable sculptures and landmarks worldwide.
