Sculptr Carbon Rod remix.
thingiverse
I'm thrilled with the design of the Sculptr, but I had some trouble with the stock rod setup. My first attempt resulted in an assembly that was too tight and produced skewed prints. On my second try, they were too loose and had excessive free play. I decided to scrap the stock arm arrangement altogether and opt for carbon rods with Traxxas ball joint ends instead. I purchased a kit and trimmed them down to 150mm at the hole centers, then remixed the carriages as included. This setup served as a replacement effector, which can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1844149. Furthermore, I wasn't satisfied with the stock bed supports, so I redesigned the LCD mounts with a new top end. I cut both original mounts and the bed supports short on the bottom to accommodate my super base, available here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2122709. Please note that you'll need to verify all measurement values in the Configuration.H file as they've changed slightly. Overall, this setup worked much better for me. I printed all parts of this printer in PETG at .2 on a Monoprice Maker Select.
