Robert Antinis (1898 m. December 3) was born in Kaldabrunioje, Ilūkste county, Latvia and is renowned for his contributions to Lithuanian art as a painter and sculptor. He embarked on drawing courses at Rokiškis from 1921-1922 before advancing to the Kaunas art school sculpture section, where he spent four years honing his craft with Justin Vienožinskis as a mentor. Antinis's academic pursuits led him to the Paris Higher School of Decorative Arts (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs) from 1928-1933, further enriching his artistic skillset. He went on to teach at Taurage and Kaunas secondary schools between 1933-1940 before joining the faculty of the Kaunas Applied and Decorative Art Institute in 1940. Under his guidance, notable artists emerged, including Konstantin Bogdan, Gediminas Jokubonis, Kazimierz Kisielis, Jadwiga Mozūraitė-Klemkienė, and Leon fishing among others. Since 1933, Antinis has been actively participating in various exhibitions showcasing his artistic prowess. In addition, he became a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association since 1936. Today, Robert Antinis rests in peace at Petrašiūnai cemetery.
