Sculpt of Oscar From Sesame Street
thingiverse
I built a custom Sesame Street character for my daughter. First, I molded its main body out of sculpey clay. Next, I separated each section - including hands - and scanned them with my Matter and Form 3D scanner. I then transferred these parts into Blender where I significantly manipulated them to include detailed features such as hair, plus repositioned the attached hands, adding extra definition overall. Subsequent adjustments were made to refine the design and enable printing. With a silver PLA I printed out his base form and with green TPU gave life to the monster itself through flexible 3D printing materials. Using my trusty soldering gun I combined all parts into a singular figure. Since finding the perfect Oscar on web pages designed by others was futile, I created this new version of the classic Sesame Street character. Alongside Oscar I crafted Big Bird but it proved to be my very first trial since having acquired my 3D scanner a mere seven days ago, forcing me to brush up on some long lost skills and adjust accordingly.
