Scuba Weight Case
thingiverse
I didn't like having lead all over my hands after handling my dive weights. I tried painting them and the paint just wouldn't stick well to lead. I use a BC with an integrated weight pocket, so I decided to make a plastic case for my weights. The cases can be color coded per weight, or you can rely on the imprint on the end to tell you exactly how much weight in pounds. I assumed that the weights are fairly standard, but after thinking about it, you could also use this to make your own weights using lead shot and two-part epoxy. Just pour in the shot, then add the epoxy, and snap the cover into place. The cover friction fits, but you can glue it if you want it to be more secure. The case doesn't fit airtight so it should allow any air bubbles to escape, but you could drill a hole or two for that purpose if you desire.
