SCUBA Ornaments
thingiverse
Here are some SCUBA-themed ornaments. I added references to Bonaire and Dive Friends Bonaire because my family and I are headed to the island to scuba dive all summer. I'm doing my PADI Divemaster through Dive Friends Bonaire. My son will get his Advanced Open Water and my daughter will complete her open water dives for her Open Water Certification and hopes to do a Photography speciality course, all through Dive Friends. (See www.dive-friends-bonaire.com for more info.) I realize there are no hammerhead sharks around Bonaire, but my daughter liked it so it's in the collection. Instructions These simple hanging ornaments were made on SketchUp by tracing around the silhouetted images of a SCUBA divers, queen angle fish, and hammerhead shark. I then simply pulled up the 2D drawing until the thickness of each was 2mm (not counting any text or image that pops out). I added a little loop to each so they could be hung from a nail, thread, or suction cup hanger as shown in the images. For more information on how to make ornaments, check out my YouTube tutorial at http://youtu.be/s4rDveitjaQ. The two-tone color was achieved on my MakerBot Replicator 3D Printer by forcing a Z-Pause at 3mm and then swapping out the filament for a different color.
