Scuba divers and professional underwater explorers rely heavily on specialized headgear called diving helmets. These rigid enclosures supply breathing gases directly to the user, enabling them to venture safely into the depths of the ocean. While typically employed by surface-supplied divers, some advanced models can be adapted for use with scuba gear as well. The upper section of the helmet, often referred to as the hat or bonnet, is secured firmly to the diver's head or diving suit via a lower component known as the neck dam or corselet, depending on the design specifications.
