SCS8UU to MGN12H Adapter Plate

SCS8UU to MGN12H Adapter Plate

thingiverse

I am currently modifying my Anet E12's extremely flexible Y-axis linear rods by replacing them with a pair of MGN12 linear rails without wanting to invest in a new Y carriage yet, so I designed this adapter plate to utilize the factory SCS8UU mounting holes. To attach the adapter plate to the MGN12H block, I used four M3x8mm screws. For the SCS8UU mounting holes, I tapped them to fit an M4 thread and secured the Y carriage with the original factory screws. My prints were sanded on both sides using a sanding board to ensure they fit flatly against the Y-carriage and slide block as seen in the attached pictures. This design can be adapted for anyone looking to install an MGN12H block where an SCS8UU block was previously used, but if you prefer to use threaded inserts, please specify the required hole size and I will update the file accordingly.
