Scroll Plaque with Customizable Text
thingiverse
I created customizable graduation plaques with personalized text messages that can be scrolled and displayed. The back of each plaque features a hole for easy wall hanging, allowing you to showcase your achievement proudly. To make the text stand out against the background, I recommend changing the filament color during printing by adding an "M600" command at the start of the 3mm layer in the gcode file. For a more personalized touch, I suggest merging a school logo into the blank area using Slic3r software. Simply find a separate STL file with the logo and combine it with the plaque design for a unique graduation gift. Update: I added a new version of the SCAD file that supports optional debossed text on top. This feature may reduce stringing, but you'll need to change the filament color twice to achieve the desired effect. Check your Slicer program's layer settings to determine where to insert the M600 commands for optimal results.
