Screwless key holder

Screwless key holder

There are many "folding knife" style key holders on the market, but most of them require screws with the correct length to function properly. Unfortunately, these screws need to be re-tightened periodically to maintain the right friction and prevent the holder from falling apart. This innovative key holder takes a different approach by integrating a standard 4 mm nylon cable tie instead of traditional screws. As a result, you can easily store multiple keys in it without any hassle. Simply print the design and secure your keys with a zip tie! Instructions To assemble this key holder, you'll need at least one 4 mm wide nylon cable tie (zip tie) that's 250 mm long or two shorter ties. If you have a longer tie, print pieces A+B+C; if you prefer to use two shorter ties, print pieces A+A+C. Update: An optional part D is now available - a 1 mm or 2 mm shim that can be used to stabilize the key holder, add color, or provide extra support. This design prints easily without supports and should take about an hour to complete at a 0.200 mm Z setting. I printed mine with PLA using full fan speed to ensure smooth bridging over hollow areas. Looking at the images provided will give you a clear understanding of how to assemble this key holder. You can also use the optional shim or extension to connect your car key or fob for added convenience.
