Screwless Heart Gears - Plated

Screwless Heart Gears - Plated

Summary The screwless heat gears are now ready for printing after being resized and plated so they can be printed in one overnight job. The STL file is designed to work with HBP/ABP settings. This project is still a work in progress. Instructions 1 - Make sure your printer prints well, as a bad print can ruin everything. Also, center the platform correctly. 2 - Turn on raft and adjust settings if necessary; I suggest enlarging the raft so that parts are anchored to a larger one than usual. 3 - You might want to generate GCode that runs slowly! I ran mine at 10 mm/sec for better quality, but results may vary. Since it's an overnight print, speed isn't a concern. 4 - Print, clean, and assemble the gears. Note My first run had 15% infill, but the tops of the gears seemed to be filled at 100%. I suspect filament parameters were off because there was evidence of excess plastic extrusion, which caused the raft to break and the parts to rock. I saved that print with tape, but it had quality/fit issues. It took my job 7.5 hours, so I'm hoping to tweak it further for overnight printing.
