Screwdriver Short Bit Handle

Screwdriver Short Bit Handle

thingiverse

I needed a very short screwdriver for our motorhome (RV) as there was limited room to replace a couple of broken clips. The screen shots show this with a Torx bit. The Fusion 360 file has the last operation in the tree suppressed, which is the insertion of the bit into the assembly. I have done this to make it easy to export a new mesh file. The handle that will scale anywhere between 25 and 50mm (parameter OUTSIDE_DIA) diameter and take ¼ inch (6.35mm) standard hex bits. I have designed the screwdriver bit to be a press fit or glued into the body. There is also a hole so that the bit could be removed easily. Because printers are not always that accurate I have a parameter "ADJUSTMENT” that will make the ¼” socket either larger or smaller (minus) for your printer. You will need to edit the Fusion 360 file to modify either of these parameters. Open the file in Fusion 360 and in Design mode, click Modify then “Change Parameters” (see screen shoot) I have published a 25, 35, 40 & 50mm handles all have an adjustment of 0.25mm Please let me know if you find this useful. Happy printing
