Summary updated 2017.7.4 to remove unnecessary plastic bits, curve out some unneeded parts, and widen the large screwdriver holes slightly. As shown in the latest photo, multiple iterations were made. A new set of screwdrivers was purchased to replace those that went missing, leaving an excess of holders. Screwdriver holder for pegboard, featuring pictures of one and two holders mounted on a pegboard. Today's discovery revealed that most screwdrivers have vanished (thanks to mischievous kids), as evidenced by the picture showing only the available screwdrivers in toolboxes. A new set was ordered. Goals: Use with standard US pegboards having 1/4" holes spaced one inch apart. Compatible with drywall screws or any "wood" screw with a 4mm outside diameter. Does not damage the pegboard. Anchors should be somewhat reusable. Allow for varying alignment by half grid space horizontally (thus four holes in the holder). Easy to clean (no complex exposed surfaces). Extremely solid construction! Note that the printed object in the picture was meant to be quick, not visually appealing - so it was printed with 0.3mm layers at 150mm/s (the maximum speed for my printer). Printed with 20% infill (more than sufficient), resulting in an object that is almost 80% air-filled. The outcome is suitable for my needs. Four screw-holes are present, but only two will be used, depending on the desired horizontal placement. Currently using 1.5in coarse thread drywall screws, which is not a precise requirement. The screw must pass through the part and into the anchor. A longer screw is acceptable if there is clearance behind the pegboard. Finer threads are no problem as long as they do not over-torque the screws. Easy to drive with a manual screwdriver (but very easy to over-torque with a power tool).
