Screwdriver (100MM bits)
prusaprinters
This is an ongoing project. 2 piece screwdriver with a rotating cap and detents to select the bit. Takes standard 100mm long bits and a magnetic extension inside to hold the bits. The magnetic holder was the cheapest I could find on Amazon. The expensive ones are too fat. It is a hard press fit. I have been printing these at .15 layer in ABS. I had trouble on the detents at .2 layers. I have tried PLA and the twisting action isn't smooth enough. Working on Nylon at the moment. The top cap will need to be flipped in your slicer. You don't need a MMU to print dual color if you want to print the inlay. Flip both the inlay and the cap then line them up on the build plate. Hide the cap, slice, then print the inlay first in your color choice and leave it on the bed. Hide the inlay, slice, then print the inlay cap directly on top of it. The fingers at the top are a little fragile. They need to be gently persuaded into the cap.
