Screwable pill container
prusaprinters
I wanted something simple, rugged and compact to EDC one pill of Ibuprofen, without its packaging being damaged by other tools I'm carrying in the same pocket. It was my first attempt at designing something with a thread in FreeCAD and it worked out pretty well. It measures 14x29mm on the inside and roughly (depending on which one you pick) about 20x30mm on the outside. Print instructionspill_container_bottom_full_thread Bottom piece, thread starts at 15mm and goes all the way up into the screw-on cap. pill_container_bottom_half_thread Bottom piece, thread is cut in half but container has the same overall size. Saves a bit of material and makes it easier to grab on to the pill, if it gets stuck in there. pill_container_top_regular Screw-on cap without a keyring hole pill_container_top_keyring Screw-on cap with a keyring hole Although PLA works just fine, I recommend printing this in PETG. The added flex helps keeping things tight. Using the Prusaslicer 0.15 default speed profile it prints in just under an hour.
