Designer Harshit Gupta from The Northcap University, India, is reimagining the knuckle duster as a multipurpose tool and safety device. For this year's extreme redesign challenge, Gupta aims to create a versatile design that addresses youth violence, abuse, and riots in society. Gupta's design incorporates various screwdriver heads, including slotted and cross slot varieties, allowing users to install and remove screws with ease. The typical simple screwdriver consists of a handle and shaft, ending in a tip that fits into the screw head before turning the handle. To enhance protection, Gupta has attached four different types of heads at distinct locations, providing coverage in three directions. These side heads can be detached using strong magnets similar to drill bits, enabling users to add more heads as needed. Furthermore, a magnetic screwdriver shaft with a comfortable handle can also be attached for added convenience.
