Screw-propelled vehicle (prototype)
thingiverse
Screw-propelled vehicle, sounds cool, right? I assemble the platform for testing screw-propelled chassis in order to check the possibility of using it in any winter robotics projects. I know, I got carried away a little and stylized it as a Soviet screw-propelled vehicle. So, it turned out quite funny, although not without flaws, of course. Well, check the video for more details. ATTENTION: This prototype is very crude and it still has a lot of shortcomings. But, if someone wants to create it, it's better to take them into account right away. 1) The platform often sinks in fresh snow due to its heavy weight. To solve this, it's worth increasing the diameter of the screws. 2) Motors are very weak for this platform. It's worth replacing them with more powerful ones.
