Screw on Headphone Stand - Slightly Over Engineered

thingiverse

This is a reworking of my previous Headphone Stand: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3355293 But slightly over-engineered, as mortise joints have been replaced with dovetail joints that require printing supports for accurate printing. I designed this headphone stand to fix securely on the edge of a table without taking up any space while holding headphones in place. Note that the screw is designed solely to attach the stand to the table, requiring minimal pressure and even suggesting damage to the structure by clamping it too tightly. The design accommodates any type of headphone – mine can easily hold a pair of Audio-Technicas and a Sennheiser HD600. EDIT: This design works incredibly well when a rubber surfacing is added to the underside of the top support that will touch the table top. PLA tends to be slippery when printed, making it necessary to secure the stand firmly. I acquired some affordable rubber non-slip material from a dollar store and glued it onto the surface with great success.
