UPDATE: It appears that bids were being far too aggressive and sloppy, with only six little birds managing to empty a 0.25l bottle of seeds in under two days, while nearly a quarter of it ended up on the floor. I made some adjustments accordingly, modifying the control ring so it can close the seed holes more effectively, deepening the plate part of the distributor and adding a significant lip. As a result, there should be fewer seeds in the feeder's plate, and seeds shouldn't escape. If you ever printed the first distributor model but don't want to print it again, I added rings that can be glued to the distributor to prevent seed spills. UPDATE'S UPDATE: It works as intended - I can now almost completely control the flow of seeds, with virtually no more spilling on the floor. I wanted a nice bird feeder for my parents' balcony but couldn't find one that met my requirements. So I found a 1/4th litre glass bottle lying around and designed one myself. While I'm not entirely happy with the roof part's appearance, I'm still learning virtual sculpting skills to achieve what I initially envisioned. This simple solution does the job nonetheless. I thoughtfully designed the distributor part so that birds can empty the bottle down to the last seed. The control ring allows for adapting birdseed flow to suit seed size, bird appetite or messiness. Initially, I made the distributor bottom flat to minimize support settings and cleaning requirements, but it also resulted in a rather stable feeder. If you don't want to hang it, you can simply place it on a flat surface. I've also provided models for a 1l bottle, although I only printed a screw-on test part for this size. Additionally, I included a funnel since filling the bottle can be quite messy.
