Here's an anti unlocking and anti-cross load device I designed for 7mm maillon rapides with the wide mouth opening. Now you'll have one less excuse at the crux of your next rope solo. Print in vertical orientation so the layer orientation is strongest for the flex of the snap fit! Print in vertical orientation so the layer orientation is strongest for the flex of the snap fit!! I printed in PLA to test and it works great, but I printed subsequent prints in PETG for a more durable part. If printing in PETG, turn off your extruder cooling fan for maximum layer adhesion. With my standard print settings, the snap fit is perfect, but if your extruder is calibrated differently or you have whacky settings, you may need to experiment to get the perfect snap fit. I used 70% infill and 5 outer/top/bottom layers for extra burlsauce. Print with brim. And remember kids, YGD!
