Screw holder for Bambu filament buffer
prusaprinters
I've got a Bambu Lab X1C with the AMS. I got another AMS and had to remove the stock filament buffer (spring loaded thing that mounts on the back of the printer) to replace it with the AMS hub. Realized that the screws used with it are a proprietary M3, and although they could be replaced fairly easily with 25mm long M3 screws, it's just easier to keep them with the filament buffer, so I created a useless cover with screw threads so that they can be inserted into the removed filament buffer and threaded into the cover. (The cover is useless because of all the holes already in the filament buffer)Since the cover accomplishes nothing, I also have a simple holder which is nothing beyond two M3 screw holes spaced 83mm apart and enough plastic to hold them together. Alternately, you could skip the print altogether and use a pair of M3 nuts, but where's the fun in that?Print settingsHard to mess this one up, but to save filament I did four shells, two bottom layers, zero infill or top layers. I think I did 0.2mm layer height, but honestly forget. Those settings made the threaded screw holes thick enough, and when printed in natural PrintedSolid Jessie PLA, it wound up looking kinda cool, too. But, print it any way you want, if I have learned anything from my years of sharing stuff, folks always ignore printing instructions. 😆
