You tube video of the screw drive tanks in action indoors on the carpet. https://youtu.be/BrmW2oacwbM

Video of the tanks in the snow. https://youtu.be/7Ska6xW8SLM

The screw drive units are a remix of thing 2317805

build pictures and info can be found on Alphadrome web site in the 3d printed section or this link "untill the site moves things around".

http://alphadrome.net/forums/topic/23063-archimedes-explorer-screw-drive-3d-printed-robot-tank/

I use standard TT gear motors to drive the screw units. I also used a RC toy from Walmart to control the gearmotors. The battery box area will hold a 4 AA battery "dual in line" pack.

I did two different bodys for my build but I think if I give you just the base for the body then you can have the fun of designing your own body style.

Print 2 of the screw drive A parts and 2 of the screw drive B parts. Us e the part A parts for the left side and the B for the right side lets say, it does not matter as long as the Part A screw drive parts are on the same side.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

20%

Filament: any PLA any

Category: Mechanical Toys
