Screw cutting support for "Rod and Tube Cutter for Dremel" v2 with finger protection
thingiverse
This is an upgrade for the "Rod and Tube Cutter for Dremel" by GreaseMonkey88. Please also check the source creator. I always wanted a support that allows straight cutting, not just for tubes but for screws as well. This is it. It fits perfectly into my printed "Rod and Tube Cutter for Dremel", and it doesn't wobble at all. The minimum length I found to be around 5 mm. CAUTION: When using short screws, please take care of your fingers. You will need to hold the screw with your own finger. Use this attachment at your own risk! I have also uploaded all the files that I used for my "Rod and Tube Cutter for Dremel", so you can work on a complete project. - Base_38 - Guide_38 - Bolt_38 (my own creation) - Screw cutting support EDIT 2020.03.25: Due to security concerns, I created version 2 with finger protection. I have uploaded the BLENDER file that includes both versions of the support for cutting screws. You can see pictures with a drawing showing possible diameters. The holes are prefabricated up to a maximum of 8 mm and appear relatively safe. The old design was just a v-cut. EDIT 2020.04.12: Warning: if you cut or grind for too long, the screw and pipe become very hot, causing the plastic to melt!
