Screw Claws

When assembling a project, it's often beneficial to offer the screw or bolt to the workpiece with its head already mounted on the end of your driver. This is especially true for small screws and bolts like M3. The purpose behind this design is to provide a grip that slides onto the driver and holds the screw or bolt in place at the end of the driver, making it simple to start driving the screw or bolt. Once started, simply remove the grip and tighten the screw or bolt by hand. To build these grips, I recommend using flexible filaments like rubber or nylon. These materials are designed to bend and warp when used, which helps prevent breakage if they won't flex.
