Screw Box Organizer
thingiverse
As my collection of small boxes for screws, nuts, and washers grew, they began to pile up on top of each other, with the box I needed always buried in the middle of the mess. To prevent this chaos, I created a modular, stackable screw box organizer that keeps everything tidy and organized. You can see the types of boxes I'm referring to in the included pictures. The organizer has two types of stackable layers: one that holds three smaller boxes and another that holds two larger boxes. Simply print as many of each type as you need, align them using the registration "nubs," and build a sturdy tower. I've tested my setup with nine layers and found it to be more than strong enough to support the weight of all the hardware, even when printed with 20% infill. For added strength, consider printing with higher density or adding a top piece to stack other items on top. You'll find three STL files: Top.stl, 3 Position Box Holder.stl, and 2 Position Box Holder.stl. Print as many of each type as you need (just one Top.stl per stack), or feel free to modify the Fusion 360 file if you'd like to make changes. The design incorporates several cutouts that save material and give a more open appearance without compromising strength in this specific use case.
With this file you will be able to print Screw Box Organizer with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Screw Box Organizer.
