Screw Bit Case for Small Bits - Double Capacity

Screw Bit Case for Small Bits - Double Capacity

The original design comes from MortenGuldager at thingiverse.com/thing:2920911. I created one quickly and efficiently, but I didn't want multiple bit cases cluttering my space, so I set out to increase the capacity instead. I've only been using my printer since September and had just learned how to use TinkerCAD to merge the bottom of the case with the top of the lid, creating a new lid. However, you still need the original lid for the top of what I call the "Doubler" adapter. This remix creates an issue with support structures as the underside of the lid now needs additional support. I discovered Meshmixer through Google and YouTube searches and created customized tree supports to minimize print time and wasted filament. Be cautious when printing the supports, as they can leave behind leftover material that gets stuck in your inside threads. That's why I've included an STL file with supports already integrated. If you've printed MortenGuldager's bit case before at thingiverse.com/thing:2920911, all you need to print is the Doubler itself.
