Push-to-connect fittings are ideal for water and compressed air applications, yet ball valves (e.g., Amazon's Malida Connector filters) can be somewhat cumbersome to use on a regular basis. This particular design features a surface mount base, allowing the valve to snap securely into place. If I were to create an updated version, I would consider rounding over the corners for improved usability; however, I'm still learning about implementing this feature in OpenSCAD. I've also added a flat base variant that prints more quickly than the original design.
