If you want to use the GoPro waterproof case to protect your camera it will greatly reduce the sound quality, for this Gopro offers a back plate with a hole that lets the sound through and gives access to the screen. However if you want to protect the camera completely, it can be scary to leave the screen completely exposed. That's why I made this external case which is added on top of the GoPro case.
