Screen Door Handle
thingiverse
My kids flatly refused to open the screen door unless they could push on the actual screen itself. Unluckily, this stubbornness led to a hole being worn into the screen. This innovative new handle takes advantage of the existing hole as a secure grip for the door. Although I'm not entirely sure how practical it will be for others, I'm thoroughly pleased with it and thought I'd share my enthusiasm. Please note that it lacks a lock, but my old one was broken anyway. I utilized Gorilla Glue to prevent further fraying around the hole, but I had forgotten that Gorilla Glue expands when drying. As a result, I highly recommend using super glue for this project if you decide to give it a try. (The foam created by the Gorilla Glue resulted in an uneven appearance) This print is specifically designed as one half, so be sure to print it twice to create both sides. I hope you find this useful and enjoy making it.
