Using a standard vinyl screen door with 4 slats at its bottom half, I took out the two center slats. I used one to go flush against one of the remaining two and cut the other to provide a second cross bar for installing the bracket. This bracket is specifically designed for an x-large Idea Pet Products replacement flap. Each bracket measures 19 cm in length, so you will need two to span across the 38 cm top of the flap. Insert the flap into its designated groove and screw the bracket onto the new cross piece I had installed earlier. Cut out the screen where the flap is to be installed, making sure you measured the height correctly so that the flap rests on the bottom piece of the door without any gaps. Once done, staple down the screen around the frame of the door.
