Screen Blocks: A Simple Solution for Mounting LCD Panels Update: 2.7.19 - I've refined the base design to ensure better clearance for connectors that face down and are near the edge. Additionally, a couple of cable-tidies have been added for a neater look. Are you stuck with an extra LCD panel and a cheap driver board kit that doesn't come with a mounting solution? Fear not! I've got just the thing - Screen Blocks. Simply print out the blocks (with support) and press-fit them to the lower corners of your TFT panel. No cutting, scraping, or gluing required. These blocks should fit most laptop displays, but be gentle when handling them as dimensions may vary depending on the specific panel you have. If you need extra stability, the blocks feature voids in their bases that allow for glueing something heavy or even magnets if you plan to use it on a metal surface. With the right driver board, these panels make excellent monitors for retro computers.
