Screen Accurate R2D2 Alexa Echo Dot 3 Dock

New Version (colours can be printed separately): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4538640 I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of the current cut-and-paste versions of the R2D2 Alexa Echo Dot 3 docks available online, many of them had significant errors when slicing. I decided to create a screen-accurate version from scratch using the original files. Echo Dot 3 now fits perfectly into the main body of R2D2 (there's plenty of extra space), and I added a retaining ring to allow the head to rotate freely. I borrowed the head design from Gerrylum here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4359588, check out his "thing" for an alternate head option as well. Some of the body details didn't work out due to the auto-supports not functioning correctly in PrusaSlic3r - but don't worry, a kind stranger remixed the original R2D2 files to include separate parts. Just scale down the parts to 67.45%, print them up, and insert them into the holes: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2775080 Update 18/05/2020: I've finally finished printing everything, plugged several of the holes with parts from the link above, and had to use my SLA printer (Creatively LD-002R) to print the vent parts because they were a bit too delicate for my Prusa MK3s. I'll be sanding and painting this up next, further images will follow soon. Update: 10/06/2020 Painted version now live, I'd love to see some "makes"!
