Porgs were a native species of sea bird that inhabited the planet Ahch-To, where Jedi Master Luke Skywalker retreated after defeating the Galactic Empire. These birds made their homes on the island's cliffs, where they built nests and took to the skies with ease. Male porgs stood slightly taller than females, and newborn porgs were known as porglets.
