Scraper With Cap

Scraper With Cap

EDIT 9/1/2016: Added a "low" version of the scraper (shown in green). Its geometry has been modified to allow for a lower-angle blade press against surfaces. The design includes a cap. A sturdy, compact handle is designed for standard scraper blades. A snap-on cap provides safety features and a hole for hanging on a hook. Blades are easy to change and secure in place. The scraper fits perfectly on my tool holder! Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: I suggest printing the scraper on its side with the cap facing upwards, as shown in the screenshot. Supports should not be needed. Make sure to print with the slot oriented vertically (see screenshot). Even with optimal print settings, some light stringing may occur across the opening, making it hard to insert the blade. The solution is simple: run the edge of the blade through the slot at an angle and then make a couple passes with fine sandpaper. This process takes only around ten seconds.
