Scout Sign (separate pedestal & mirrored)

Scout Sign (separate pedestal & mirrored)

thingiverse

This is a remix of the stunning design by jreimers (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2927535) and it tackles two issues: 1) The original design depicted a left hand, whereas scouts typically perform this gesture with their right hand, although they shake hands with their left. 2) I separated the pedestal from the hand to make them easier to create with different "materials" and paint separately. The object will require re-scaling to achieve life size. I scaled mine up to 7753.11% to match the size of my hand. Note that I intentionally left a thin layer connecting the hand to the pedestal for proper alignment. This might not be accurately reproduced by the slicer due to varying layer heights, so you may need to adjust the initial layer height to show the wrist cross-section outline clearly. Edit (24-SEP-2018): I re-uploaded the object files to reflect a right-hand design.
