Finley at an archaeological site that would later bear his name The site is located near Eden, Wyoming in the Green River Valley of Sweetwater County. The excavated area produced a good number of bison bones but primarily foot bones such as metacarpals, metatarsals, phalanges and very few long bones The evidence suggests this was some kind of specialized processing area rather than a death site (Kornfeld et al. 2016). Three different bone samples from the Finley site collection were dated resulting in ages ranging from 10,182 to 10,701 years ago (Hill 2008).
